Program includes an interior event space for performance and exhibition activities and a screening room. A boardroom and mezzanine are built with extensive views over the warehouse and out to an exterior event space.

Target Insight: Organize the project around “The Wave” as a major sculptural element; as an expression and synthesis of the client’s corporate identity with the Southern California surf and skating culture. Outcome: A 3-dimensional wave that is at once so dynamic and awe-inspiring that it immediately captures the persona of the Red Bull brand.

The continuous wood form, 40′-0″ wide by 420′-0″ long, emerges at the entry courtyard and terminates at the other end of the building.

As the wave swells, sheltered zones of privacy and acoustic intimacy are created underneath – programmed with small enclosed conference rooms and an open café with recessed seating. As the wave falls, the arc creates an impromptu seating area for the interior event space.
