Building Interior Decorating of Canonero Residence by Barley & Pfeiffer Architect. The Canonero Residence is perched on the edge of a valley in the Texas hill country.
It has a large covered porch on the south side to catch prevailing breezes and provide shade as you relax by the pool and enjoy views of the valley.
This two-story home contains a central stair tower to assist in cooling the home using thermal siphoning. Two separate, high-efficiency cooling systems allow independent zoning of each floor for greater control of comfort and less energy consumption.
This house received a 5 star rating from the Austin Energy Green Building Program. Other features include: Hydronic heating system, Tankless water heaters, energy efficient Marvin windows, natural cross-ventilation, spray foam insulation, & evaporative cooling tower.
