Interior Design of Swiss-Army Wall Project by Jerrytate Architects. The complete re-modelling of a standard London Victorian terraced house included a clever way of handling the increased amount of ’stuff’ that families accrue, whilst staying true to the feel of the original structure.
An innovative ‘Swiss-Army’ wall was designed to house the client’s extensive and varied possessions as well as providing functions for the room itself.

These included, variously, a home cinema, hi-fi system, computer, drinks cabinet, fireplace, display area for sculpture, plan-chest (for paperwork) and CD, video and book storage.
The concept was that all would be accessible for day-to-day use, but could be easily shut away as required. This project was published in Bartlett Works, August Projects Ltd in 2004.
